JOHN WILMAR CASTRO LLANOS, recibió su grado de Doctor en Ingeniería Informática y Telecomunicación de la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (España) en el 2014. Él recibió su grado de Maestría en Ingeniería Informática y Telecomunicación con énfasis en Desarrollo Avanzado de Software, de la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid en el 2009. Él recibió su grado de Ingeniero de Sistemas de la Universidad del Valle (Colombia) en el 2001. Él tiene 15 años de experiencia profesional en la industria de desarrollo de sistemas software.  Actualmente es profesor asistente y coordinador de investigación en el Departamento de Ingeniería Informática y Ciencias de la Computación de la Universidad de Atacama. Él realizo una estancia de investigación en la Universidad de Oulu (Finlandia) en el 2014. Él trabajo como Asistente de Investigación en la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (España).  Él es miembro del Comité de Programa del track “Ingeniería de Software en la Practica” del ICSE 2017. Tiene 10 años de experiencia como revisor en diferentes conferencias internacionales, incluyendo conferencias de primer nivel (CORE A y CORE B). Ha sido revisor de Journals WoS. Sus áreas de investigación de interés incluyen la ingeniería del Software, el proceso de desarrollo de software y la integración de la usabilidad en el proceso de desarrollo de software.

JOHN WILMAR CASTRO LLANOS received his PhD degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2014. He received his MSc in Computer Science and Telecommunications, specializing in Advanced Software Development, from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2009. He received his BSc in Systems Engineering from the Universidad del Valle (Colombia) in 2001. He has fifteen years of experience in the area of software system development. He is currently assistant professor and research coordinator at the Department of Computer Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Atacama. He held a doctoral research fellow at the University of Oulu (Finland) in 2014. He worked as a research assistant at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. He is member of the Program Committee of ICSE 2017 Software Engineering in Practice (SEIP) track. He has 10 years of experience as a reviewer at various international conferences (including CORE A and CORE B conferences). He has been a reviewer of Journals WoS. His research interests include software engineering, software development process and the integration of usability in the software development process.
